Loads of news!
Woo, lots to get through.. I'll go in chronological order.
So, i went into school on Monday to sign up for 6th form but then couldn't get in cause i didn't have my 4 C's so my options were go to college and resit for a year or go and do a b-tech at 6th form for a year and get the equivelant of 4 C's in a year. Then with either of these, i could go and do A levels next year in 6th form.
So, after spending the whole day going back and forwards on my decision i finally decided on Tuedsay - I'm going to college.
I was supposed to get a laptop if i got my 4 C's in my exams but because i made the right choice and didn't stay at school just cause i wanted to stay there and then done something i really wasn't at all interested in for a year, my parents let me get a laptop anyway.
On tuesday, i bought some new clothes and stuff and then today i got a new laptop. The first shop we went in, the sales assistant reminded me of someone from school (if you went to my school, you can guess who it is if you want). He just rattled on with all this technical jargon for ages, telling us how great he was, bullshitting (he tripped up a few times with this), stalking us round the shop and not leaving us alone. Heres 3 quotes i particularly liked:
1. I've built well over 500 computers by hand!
2. I could build a computer blindfolded.
3. (when the one i was keen on seemed to have a dedicated graphics card)I play all my games with a dedicated graphics card on my computer.
*15 minutes later*
(its discovered it doesn't really have a dedicated graphics card but a shared one, like all the others in that shop) I play all my games with a shared graphics card on my computer.
So anyway, we ran from him as fast as possible and went to a few other shops and finally needed to decide between 2 which we had chosen.
So, after going back and forwards, i finally decided what had more importance, what was required and therefore which one was the best so i got number 2. It has a 15.4" widescreen monitor, a nice keyboard and mousepad and looks nice aswell. I thought running vista ultimate was important and also, so was the dedicated graphics card.
So college starts tomorrow and I'm not particularly looking forward to it. I'll update you on that soon!
