See you in 2 weeks!
There's a few things i'm gonna post about now.
Firstly, i'm going on holiday at the crack of dawn tomorrow to the south of france, by car. We're away for 2 weeks so that's probably gonna be 2 weeks without any postings but maybe i'll update half way through but then again it's not supposed to be a personal blog.
2 things i wanna talk about kinda link into eachother. They are Wikipedia and World Jump Day.
Wikipedia, as i'm sure you know is found at www.wikipedia.org and it's a massive encyclopedia that anyone can edit and change (although they have loads of people monitoring it so people can't post stupid stuff).
World jump day is on tomorrow. The event was organised by www.worldjumpday.org where they plan to put the earth into a new orbit through everyone jumping at once.
They claimed to have 58,000,000 registered users ages ago (to be a registered user you have to give your email address) when i went on and yet again yesterday. I made a note of the exact number, came back 15 minutes later and it had went down. So i edited the wikipedia page about it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Jump_Day) so it contained the additional fact of the numbers going up and down. I just checked back there now to discover someone had put it in a new section and they had looked into it and discovered some sort of code showing that the number was very false and it was a lot lower.
That page is very busy recently and it's just amazing how all these people just contribute their little bits to a page to build up a bigger, better and more accurate knowledge base. I'm also glad that my little bit of research was worth it because it has been seen by lots of people wh o have went on there because it's so close.
I am just about to go on there now and edit in a new fact that i ticked the box that said "email me the day before this event" and they havn't done that yet.
So i guess that's it for 2 weeks (probably 2 and a half weeks while i get myself sorted). I'm enjoying coming on here and writing when i want and it not being a thing where i'm like "oh i have to get the next entry out by ______" and i think it's more interesting than those aswell.
Bye!
